Who builds Waypoint
Waypoint is an independent app built by Godfrey Zubiaga, founder, a Filipino rider.
It started from a simple frustration. Every weekend the group chat asks the same thing, “san maganda mag-ride?”, and the answer is buried in old Facebook posts, pinned locations and screenshots nobody can find again. Waypoint puts those answers in one place and keeps a record of every ride that follows.
Why it exists
Riding in the Philippines is some of the best anywhere, but the good places are hard to find and the rides are easy to forget. Waypoint gives you destinations worth the ride across all 18 regions. When you arrive, you get a region stamp in your Passport, a postcard and an Arrival Trophy. The points you earn from riding go toward real riding gear in the rewards shop. It is free, with no ads and no subscription. Plan less. Ride more.
Where we're based
Waypoint is built and operated from the Philippines. Its destinations cover all 18 regions of the country, from the Cordillera to Mindanao.
How destinations are reviewed
Destinations come from two places: the Waypoint team, and riders who send them in through the destination submission form. Every rider submission is reviewed by hand before it goes live. We check the pin, compare it against places already on the map to avoid duplicates, and set the name, category and description. Places that don't fit are declined. When a submission is approved, the rider who sent it gets the credit on the destination page.
